Pleasure Craft Operators Card - Exam

As of Sept. 15th, 2009, throughout Canada, all operators of a power boat must have a valid PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operators Card).

Power boats include all PWC (Personal Watercraft), small outboard powered fishing boats to large high powered inboards.

Operating without a valid PCOC could result in fines of up to $250.00.  The good news is that once you have your PCOC, it is valid for life.

To obtain your PCOC, all you need to do is pass a short multiple choice exam - no practical exam is required.

Typically study materials cost an additional $15 plus, over and above the written exam. We include our study materials at no additional cost.

Do you need study materials for the PCOC? If you can recognize the different symptoms of mild and moderate hypothermia or can distinguish a Cardinal buoy from a Bifurcation buoy then you will probably do fine on your own. If you are not sure, or don't know, then you had better use our study materials which will provide you with all of this information and more, all of which is directly related to the PCOC Boaters Exam.
